The Digital Canvas in Your Pocket: Artistic Image Stylization on Mobile Devices

Image stylization has become an essential part of mobile photography for artists and users seeking casual creativity. Most stylization apps, however, do not provide the necessary tools required for art direction, particularly for facilitating modes of expression and artistic control over the visual output. The team at Digital Masterpieces have made it their mission to bridge the gap between automation of image-based stylization and the interactive requirements of mobile artists and casual users by providing effective, intuitive tools that facilitate image editing at multiple levels of control. Learn how our apps clearly model design mechanisms of many artistic media to support a wide range of expression, and how computer vision and modern photo capturing technology (e.g., Apple LiDAR) enables interactive image-based stylization in 3D virtual environments.
