Intercity Talgo 230 trains travel tens of millions of kilometres in America, Europe and Asia every year. Talgo offers a wide array of solutions that can meet every need, since its trains can improve speed and performance on conventional tracks, running at up to 250 km/h wherever infrastructure allows.
From the Eurasian steppe, along the Pacific Ocean coast of the United States and Canada, to major European cities, Talgo trains and their unique wheel technology are providing rail operators around the world with lower energy consumption and reduced maintenance costs. By using tilting technology, Talgo trains can typically increase speeds through curves by 20% without having to modify infrastructure. Even gauge differences are no obstacle for its trains due to the use of variable gauge technology.
With a catalogue that supports dozens of different configurations - and with vehicles currently in service in eight countries - Talgo manufactures trains certified to meet the requirements of the three main rolling stock standards in the world: UIC in Germany, Spain and Bosnia, FRA and CFR in the United States and Canada, and GOST in Russia and Kazakhstan.
