Electrical Conformance BoardThe Electrical Conformance Board was established as an NGO, by government and industry, to be the umbrella organization representing the electrical sector. For nearly 40 years the ECB has united the electrical industry by representing sectors, products, renewables, manufacturers, importers, designers, installers, financial services, academia, the public and regulators to ensure clear industry-wide communication, promoting conformance, co-operation and support. The board comprises of government, industry organizations, contractors and related parties who work together to manage an unbiased entity to encourage safety between those directly and indirectly related to the industry. The ECB manages this through a range of sector boards, mediation services, accredited training, component advisory and ombudsmen functions.
