Purpose of DC alternators and control system is used to manage both the charge and discharge current of multiple battery strings. To reduce fuel consumption, the DC unit is equipped with variable speed adjustment to maintain the charge rate that is required at any specific time. For easy management of user interface and protections, the unit can be configured with either a Deepsea 7450 or Intelilite Telecoms control units
