Predicting future plant forms from mechano-eco-evo-devo insights

From trichomes to shoots and roots, slender body structures can confer a variety of fitness-enhancing functions by interacting with the environment. An example is the moisture-sensitive flight of the common dandelion. With it, I will propose a way to forecast future plant forms through structural functional analyses.
