Evolution of organellar mechanosensing
Sunday, July 27, 2025 8:40 AM to 9:10 AM · 30 min. (America/Chicago)
Grand Ballroom ABC
Information
My talk will showcase our efforts to understand the evolution of organellar mechanics within the green lineage. We use several model systems (moss, Arabidopsis, Chlamydomonas) to test how plant organelles, primarily vacuoles and chloroplasts, perceive mechanical forces and adjust their morphology and function in response to those forces.
