Information

Proper functioning of plant cells relies on coordinated cellular and subcellular events, for instance, membrane trafficking, cytoskeletal dynamics, autophagy, cell growth, and cell division. To answer the fundamental question of how a plant cell functions, it is necessary to explore various sequential events of cell dynamics. Recent technological advancements in live-cell imaging have propelled our capabilities to observe these processes with unprecedented spatiotemporal resolution.

This session seeks to shed light on using latest breakthroughs in high-resolution imaging techniques to reveal plant cell dynamics. We will feature recent research advances on membrane lipids, cytoskeletal remodeling, floral development, and nuclear movement in cell division.

Session Agenda (Eastern Time):
11:00am - Welcome, Xiaohui Li
11:05am - Yvon Jaillais
11:25am - Anjali Iyer-Pascuzzi
11:45am - Weiwei Zhang
12:05pm - "Auxin dynamics and symmetry breaking in Mimulus floral meristem", Ya Min
12:25pm - Arif Ashraf
12:45pm - Closing

Presenters will give live talks and will take questions posed in the chat.
