The Pittsburgh (now Pittcon) Analytical Chemistry Award was first given in 1978. The award has been presented jointly with Pittcon since 2002 and is given out each year at a special ceremony during the Pittcon Conference and Exposition. The recipient’s name and achievements are added to the Pittcon Hall of Fame, which conference attendees can visit at the show each year. The PACA was established to recognize a scientist’s significant contributions to the field of Analytical Chemistry including; introducing of a significant technique, theory or instrument or providing exceptional training or a fertile environment for progress in Analytical Chemistry.
