Cancer remains a major global health burden, where early detection is critical for improving survival outcomes and reducing treatment costs. The identification of reliable molecular biomarkers at initial stages can substantially enhance diagnostic accuracy and support minimal invasive therapeutic interventions. In this study, we develop an electrochemical biosensing platform designed for cancer biomarker detection using impedance-based measurements. The biosensor integrates a graphene-modified screen-printed electrode functionalized with specific antibodies targeting cancer biomarker. The binding interactions were observed through variations in impedance via electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, offering a label-free and sensitive detection approach. Preliminary experiments demonstrated a strong logarithmic correlation between target biomarker concentration (1 – 100 ng/mL) and impedance response. These results demonstrate the promise of this developed graphene-based biosensor as a low-cost, economical option for early cancer diagnostics1-3.
