Information
The SolidSample ICPMS system enables direct analysis of solid materials without acid digestion, reducing preparation time, contamination risk, and waste. Automated robotic handling of barcoded samples with a solid introduction interface allows high-throughput, quantitative multielement measurements. Highly linear calibrations are achieved using stable, matrix-matched solid standards that can be reused hundreds or thousands of times without loss of accuracy, ensuring consistent performance. Examples demonstrate capability for materials that are difficult to dissolve or suffer from incomplete dissolution, including lithium battery cathodes, rare earth element ores and process intermediates, and food matrices. Results show excellent correlation with conventional solution ICPMS, faster analysis, improved reproducibility, and minimal operator involvement. The SolidSample ICPMS approach represents a significant advance in automation and efficiency for elemental analysis across research, industrial, and quality control laboratories.
