Information
Liquid-Liquid Extraction (LLE) is well suited and widely used for the extraction of pollutants in various water sources. The ePrep ONE fully automates the EPA 3511 LLE SVOC-Water method, enabling field samples to be prepared directly from collection bottles to autosampler vials ready for chromatographic analysis. When coupled with appropriate analytical instrumentation, the ePrep workflow achieves limits of detection (LOD) of 0.29-0.57 ppb in water and limits of quantitation (LOQ) of 0.57-5.7 ppb in water. This method is by micro LLE which is specific to the ePrep system and is more efficient, scalable, less costly than conventional LLE techniques and dramatically reduces solvent consumption. This presentation demonstrates the data that is achieved on the ePrep system, but it should be noted that the automated system is sufficiently flexible for the method to be modified to laboratory specific preferences and other applications, such as PFAS, standards calibration, pesticides, as well as tablet content uniformity among others.
