Information
In today’s pharmaceutical landscape, cycle times for drug development are rapidly shrinking due to clinical optimization and regulatory expedition. Concurrently, the industry is witnessing a surge in the therapeutic modalities designed to address increasingly specific patient needs. While these trends hold great promise for reshaping the industry, they also place pharma technical development more frequently on the critical path. Traditionally, the key pillars of pharma technical development, including analytical, process, and formulation development, have been employing labor-intensive, manual processes that rely heavily on trial and error, resulting in substantial bottlenecks in developing new drugs. Therefore, there is an urgent need for accelerated timelines and the adoption of innovative approaches to ensure speed and successes. This symposium will be dedicated to demonstrate how automation, digitalization, and AI/ML can be leveraged to accelerate and innovate pharma technical development of both traditional small molecule drugs as well as emerging new modalities. Pioneers and thought leaders within the field will be invited to share their methodologies, success stories, and lessons learned when integrating high-throughput workflows for drug development. We believe that embracing automation to increase efficiency and productivity, alongside digitalization to enhance data accessibility and AI/ML to effectively turn massive data into actionable insights, present rare opportunities to revolutionize modern drug development.
