Benefits of Bioinert Column Hardware in Liquid Chromatography

This talk highlights the benefits of bioinert column hardware in liquid chromatography, addressing issues caused by metal-analyte interactions in stainless steel columns, such as poor peak shape and reduced sensitivity. Bioinert columns, including YMC Accura Triart and BioPro IEX, prevent these interactions, improving peak shape, recovery, and reproducibility. Comparative analyses demonstrate their superior performance in separating oligonucleotides, phosphopeptides, and monoclonal antibodies. Two bioinert column types coated stainless steel and PEEK-lined are evaluated, each with distinct advantages. These findings support bioinert hardware as a reliable solution for enhanced HPLC performance.
