Objectives

1. Interpret and report parathyroid imaging studies using sestamibi SPECT/CT and choline PET/CT, with an understanding of when to apply each modality and how to optimise diagnostic accuracy.
2. Apply best practices in image acquisition for parathyroid studies, including patient preparation, protocol optimisation, and the use of contrast in SPECT/CT for improved anatomical localisation.
3. TIntegrate multimodality imaging and clinical perspectives by understanding the role of ultrasound, CT, and surgical expectations in the diagnostic pathway for parathyroid adenoma localisation.

The course includes two parallel streams:

1. A clinical stream for those involved in reporting
2. A technologist stream focused on image acquisition, including protocol optimisation, positioning, and troubleshooting
