JDR Cable Systems is a leader in subsea production umbilicals, subsea power cables, and Intervention Workover Control Systems for the offshore energy industry. Also, JDR provides market leading services to support customers from project concept design/selection, installation, commissioning, and full field lifecycle services.
In August 2017 JDR Cable Systems Ltd joined to TFKable Group, a leading global producer of wires and cables, with major production facilities in Europe and sales offices globally.
JDR’s base at Hartlepool dock is a 28,000m2, the state-of-the-art facility is for manufacturing and engineering subsea power cables and umbilicals. Hartlepool’s deep-water quay and its easy access to North Sea shipping lanes mean we can spool cables directly from the factory to offshore cable lay vessels moored in the quay. The Hartlepool facility houses four 2,200 tonne and two 4,000 tonne covered carousels, one of the world’s largest vertical lay-up machines (VLM), a high capacity, high specification horizontal lay-up machine (HLM), armouring lines and a range of other world-class machinery utilised for the reliable manufacture of subsea umbilicals and power cables for both the oil and gas and renewable markets.
JDR’s Littleport base is 10,000 square metres, the facility houses our IWOC Centre of Excellence as well as our design, engineering, small parts manufacturing, qualification testing, and R&D. It is also the centre of our worldwide supply of critical components for subsea power cables, umbilicals, specialised hoses and integrated packages for the oil and gas industry.
JDR Newcastle multi-purpose service centre includes a workshop, warehouse, visitor centre and state-of-the-art offices. The facility is supported by a team of office based technical support staff and logistics to ensure our people and equipment can be mobilised at short notice providing 24/7/365 coverage. It also serves as the central base for JDR’s European and Asia pacific service operations. The location was strategically selected for its proximity to projects in the North Sea Europe and beyond.
JDR Houston USA specialises in IWOCS rental services and provides offshore oil and gas operators with the ability to increase production from subsea wells without requiring a CAPEX investment as well as EH IWOCS umbilicals, Hydraulic IWOCS reeler and drive hydraulic power unit (HPU) or pneumatic drive IWOCS reeler, Umbilical sheave, JDR modular UTA / subsea interface panel, Emergency disconnect system (hydraulic or mechanical), LARS with drive HPU, JDR IWOCS controls HPU, Zone-rated workshop container with IWOCS spares and JDR-certified IWOCS field service technicians
