The Instrument Pod is a large rigid container that holds all the instrumentation for a singe surgery. it eliminates the repetitive chores in room set up, reducing turnover time dramatically. A routine total joint can be set up in under two minutes.
In SPD, the repetitive chores that are eliminated allow staff more time to do the instrument inspection, the critical part of the reprocessing.
