Information

Performance of Virtualized Network Functions (VNF) is key in Telco cloud environments. A common issue in these infrastructures is how to optimize the performance you get from your VNF when your workload is mostly processing traffic packets (e.g. virtual routers or firewalls). A main requirement for cloud managed platforms is to provide an efficient access to hardware resources for virtualized workloads, and specially to support everything related to traffic throughput. In this session, we will explore the features that OpenNebula offers in order to meet the main requirements of Telco Edge Cloud deployments. We will be joined by Intel, with a presentation about how their software and hardware technologies optimize VNF execution, and by Telefónica, sharing their first-hand experience with the edge computing features already present in OpenNebula.

This session has been organized in collaboration with the 6G-SANDBOX Project.
