Our Honours Bachelor of Animation, and post-graduate certificates in Computer Animation, Digital Creature Animation – Technical Direction and Visual Effects are consistently ranked the Top 10 in the world. What makes Sheridan so special? Our faculty have a combined total of 300 years of animation experience with techniques that are commonly used in the industry and they teach students in state-of-the-art facilities with much of the same software and hardware used at studios today. Around 95% of graduates from our programs end up employed in the industry, landing positions at studios such as Guru, Disney, Nelvana, Lucasfilm, Pipeline Studios, Pixar, House of Cool, Industrial Light + Magic, Atomic Cartoons, Jam Filled and DreamWorks. It’s at Sheridan’s annual Industry Day where many of those same firms come to view graduating student films, interview and in many cases hire students.
Sheridan has been the training ground for seven Academy Award Winners, 15 nominees, seven Emmy winners, 38 nominees as well as trailblazers like Domee Shi, the first female to direct a Pixar short, with her Academy Award winning film Bao. Shi is currently in post-production on her directorial feature film debut at Pixar with Turning Red, a film she also wrote.
