Information
We work on spatial filming and photography, expanding the possibilities of spatial imaging and dynamic gaussian splatting scenes.
Freeing volumetric video capturing from conventional green screen studio environments, we capture scenes anywhere in the real world with a mobile multi-camera setup. Our pipeline also enables the processing of material from other artists, individuals and companies and works with both professional and consumer cameras. We are currently collaborating with musicians, fashion designers, journalists, film production companies, academic institutions and medical researchers to explore the possibilities of spatial filming across different sectors.
We want to make the experience of spatial film and photographs as accessible as possible. With PORTALS, we aim to provide a simple and free VR viewer (compatible with most VR headsets), as well as a 3D web viewer for phones and computers, available via a website – without the need to download programs, apps or large files. This VR viewer also allows users to dive into their own spatial photographs (captured via free gaussian splatting apps and programs).
A special project we will be highlighting during the event is FRAMESHIFT, a collaborative multi-dimensional film experience in which we aim to combine volumetric video recordings, virtual production as well as conventional filmmaking, AR and VR elements into one work of art. The project is partially funded by the FFF Bavarian Film Fund and will be realised in collaboration with FineLine Film and the artist Justin Urbach.
