We’re looking for a Staff Data Engineer, Accounting to build scalable data infrastructure and compliance-ready capabilities for Accounting and Finance. This hybrid role is based in Buenos Aires.
The Job
Own pipelines, transformations, and data models that keep financial data accurate, timely, complete, and traceable.
Partner with Analytics, Accounting, Finance, Tax, Payments, Compliance, and Engineering to turn business and regulatory needs into durable solutions.
Build automated, repeatable, audit-ready reporting and controls.
Strengthen reconciliation across payment processors, internal systems, Snowflake, the ledger, and NetSuite.
Implement testing, lineage, monitoring, and alerts to identify inconsistent transactions.
Use AI tools and coding agents to accelerate development, testing, investigation, and documentation.
Set engineering standards and technical direction across teams.
You
8+ years in data or software engineering, owning complex technical domains end to end.
Advanced SQL and strong experience with Snowflake, dbt, Python, data modeling, orchestration, APIs, and batch or event-based processing.
Experience with financial data, reconciliation, audits, fintech, banking, or payments.
Strong practices across testing, CI/CD, code review, observability, and documentation.
Excellent stakeholder communication and judgment around reliability, risk, controls, and platform design.
Familiarity with NetSuite, Stripe, Adyen, GAAP, SOX, payment flows, or regulatory reporting is a plus.
