We’re looking for a Manager, Data Engineering to lead a team and own a critical Data Platform portfolio. This hybrid role is based in Buenos Aires.
The Job
Turn business priorities into a roadmap, backlog, and measurable outcomes.
Set owners, milestones, and deadlines; communicate progress and drive accountability.
Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
Partner across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Privacy, and business teams.
Manage risks, dependencies, resources, and blockers while making clear trade-offs.
Deliver trusted data products for reporting, analytics, AI/ML, and product experiences.
Ensure data quality, privacy, security, lineage, reliability, and operational readiness.
Partner with Staff+ engineers and architects on technical direction, scalability, cost, and technical debt.
You
8–10+ years in data or platform engineering, including 5+ years managing data engineers or platform teams.
Proven success driving delivery and building, coaching, and retaining strong teams.
Strong judgment in prioritization, resource allocation, risk management, and dependencies.
Technical leadership across data architecture, modeling, ETL/ELT, batch and streaming pipelines, orchestration, and distributed systems.
Experience with SQL, Python, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake or BigQuery, Airflow, dbt, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.
Knowledge of data governance, quality, privacy, security, compliance, reliability, and cost management.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
