Since 2010, the GoFundMe community has raised more than $40 billion. We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Data Insights and build reliable solutions powering analytics, data science, and data products.
The Job
• Develop and maintain our Snowflake enterprise data warehouse.
• Build and orchestrate ELT pipelines using databases, streams, and web APIs.
• Connect warehouse data to third-party tools through Reverse ETL.
• Develop REST API endpoints for data science products.
• Improve warehouse solutions and data pipelines.
• Optimize Snowflake for cost, performance, security, and permissions.
• Partner with analysts, engineers, and business users.
• Evaluate new technologies and drive continuous improvement.
You
• Have 5+ years of data engineering experience building warehouses with structured and unstructured data.
• Have strong ETL/ELT and orchestration experience with tools such as Airflow or Prefect.
• Are proficient in Snowflake, SQL optimization, API integrations, and a language such as Python or Java.
• Understand database architecture and engineering best practices.
Preferred
Experience with dbt, data science or machine learning, event-tracking platforms, Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS. An Engineering degree or equivalent experience is desirable.
