Since 2010, the GoFundMe community has raised more than $40 billion. We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Developer Experience, building the environments, pipelines, internal portal, and paved roads that help hundreds of engineers ship safely.
The Job
• Own local and ephemeral environments using Kubernetes, DevSpace, and vCluster.
• Build scalable CI/CD with GitHub Actions, reusable workflows, and self-hosted runners.
• Develop our Internal Developer Portal, golden paths, and self-service infrastructure.
• Track build times, environment reliability, lead time, and change failure rate.
• Introduce AI-assisted workflows securely across Engineering.
• Partner with Security and Compliance to automate SOC 2 and PCI controls.
• Work with product teams to identify friction and lead projects through adoption.
You
• Have 5+ years of engineering experience, including DevEx, platform, or productivity work.
• Write production code in Go, Python, TypeScript/Node, or similar.
• Bring Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform, and AWS experience.
• Have improved pipeline speed, cost, or reliability at scale.
• Treat internal tooling as a product, measuring adoption and listening to users.
• Communicate clearly in English across distributed teams.
Preferred
Experience with observability, developer portals, preview environments, Kafka/LocalStack, AI tooling, secrets management, OIDC, or automated compliance controls.
