We’re seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our Payments organization in Buenos Aires. In this hybrid role, you’ll build infrastructure that processes billions of dollars, bring core payment capabilities in-house, and shape payout solutions from ideation through launch.
The Job
• Help execute our multi-year payments strategy.
• Design scalable systems across payouts, ledgering, money movement, reconciliation, and disbursement.
• Make architectural decisions that anticipate future needs.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Design, and external providers.
• Lead projects end to end, balancing technical and business priorities.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance and code reviews.
You
• Have 8+ years of software engineering experience and payments expertise in checkout, payment methods, payouts, ledgering, reconciliation, interchange, or KYC/onboarding.
• Have designed scalable services and shipped impactful products.
• Can lead complex projects and communicate trade-offs, progress, and risks.
• Have experience diagnosing and preventing performance issues.
Preferred: Experience with Spring Boot, Kotlin, AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, GraphQL, relational databases, or money movement at scale.
