The Engineering Manager ensures the team’s optimal performance, oversees the well-being and growth of its members, and provides tracking and visibility for both group and individual performance. They are also responsible for defining and communicating goals and action plans between business stakeholders and the team. Core Responsibilities - Team Performance Management: Monitor work progress (e.g., Sprint progress). - Prepare and lead team follow-up and learning meetings (e.g., Dailies, Sprint Retrospectives). - Present team results and outcomes. - Generate, implement, and analyze the impact of initiatives aimed at improving team performance. - People Management: Manage performance, provide feedback, define or adjust compensation, and analyze career path progress for the development team. - Planning: Participate in roadmap creation and review resource availability/allocation to meet business objectives. - Staffing: Identify staffing needs and participate in the sourcing and selection of new team members. - Internal Support: Manage internal support initiatives (e.g., "Superhero" rotations), as well as their workflow and performance. - Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks for team members. Requirements - At least 2 years of experience in Software Development. - At least 2 years of experience leading technical teams. - Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. - Experience leading teams using Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, Shape-Up, etc.).
