Data Engineer

The Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC) located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position Data Engineer. Successful candidates will join the Data & Insights team which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1700 employees delivering business services and solutions across the globe. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: • Understanding the business use of data and the stakeholders requirements to support work processes and strategic business objectives • Leverage data and software engineering techniques, data science to create business value through data accessibility (includes data ingestion, data preparation and analytics processing) • Identifying, acquiring, cleansing/preparing, storing data and developing reusable data products aligned with defined architecture patterns • Enabling data scientists, making data available for advanced analytics models, and contributing to advanced analytics models • Working with data analysts and architects to scale and deploy solutions including models, documentation, training, integration • Contributing to the inner source development of foundational tools, and/or the deployment of technical services Required Qualifications • Knowledge and/or experience with data acquisition, preparation and validation; data movement and transformation; data modeling and software engineering using technologies such as: Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Synapse and SQL expertise. Preferred Qualifications Python and Ansible experience.
