The Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC) located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position Data Analyst. Successful candidates will join the Data & Insights team which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1700 employees delivering business services and solutions across the globe.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Understanding the business use of data and stakeholder requirements to support work processes and strategic business objectives
- Working with business (digital platform, Business Units, function teams) and delivery teams to provide data management direction and support for data foundation initiatives and data products development
- Analyzing current state of data management: process, practices, tools, and helping shape future needs. Contributing to the design of common information models.
- Advising on the appropriate data integration patterns, data modelling and data quality.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge and/or experience with:
- Big data computing, data acquisition, wrangling and preparation, business process and data modeling, data strategy, policies, and governance.
- Understanding of software engineering using technologies such as: Azure Data Factory(ETL), Databricks, DevOps, Azure SQL, Azure Synapse.
- SQL coding - Ability to understand or write complex queries related to Microsoft SQL views, stored procedures & tables (Microsoft SQL Server Mgt. Studio)
- Power BI.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and/or experience with Python.
