At this Spark Your Day meetup, get to know the Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF). For 24 years, OFRF has partnered with New Hope to host an all organic luncheon at the Expo West trade show. Widely acknowledged by those in the know as the best place to network and catch up before the big show, the luncheon was also prized for its delicious all-organic food. Sadly, we won’t be able to meet in person this year, but we still want to connect our community. We hope you will join us for a virtual meetup that’s sure to put a smile on your face. Organic is growing, let’s celebrate!
OFRF's beloved head chef, Chris Blobaum, will show us how to cook up a fantastic lentil dish and will share his recipe with everyone who attends. Why lentils? Because not only are they healthy and delicious to eat, lentils also play an important role in promoting biodiversity, building soil health, and can ultimately improve the economics of an organic farm. OFRF-funded researcher, Dr. Jed Eberly from Montana State will also share highlights from his research and discuss how building soil health not only helps farmers, but also the planet. You’ll never look at lentils the same way again!
Whether you’ve attended the organic luncheon every year or have never been, we can’t wait to “gather” with you on May 11!

The Organic Farming Research Foundation (OFRF) has been a leading champion of organic farmers and ranchers for over 30 years. OFRF works to foster the improvement and widespread adoption of organic farming systems by cultivating organic research, education, and federal policies that bring more farmers and acreage into organic farming practices, particularly those that preserve and promote soil health. As a farmer-led organization, OFRF works to create a more resilient and sustainable agricultural system that values healthy environments and healthy people, and helps curb the climate crisis.
