Accessibility In Live Music: Making it a Piece of Cake!

A Piece of Cake presents a hands-on installation which rethinks live music tech. Designed for emerging solo artists – especially those from diverse backgrounds, without extensive technical skills – this prototype playback pedal offers a simple, intuitive way to run backing tracks, all without laptops or complex setups. Visitors can try the device, and there's team members and guest artists on site. The project challenges norms of hardware design and asks: what if music tech was easy and inclusive?
