Countertop project for Haus zur Goldenen Waage
Projects
Information
The Proliner is essential for the complex projects of Kühn.
Stone company Kühn (Germany) is a fourth generation family business which dates back to 1913. Next to restoration services, their product range includes stairs, tables, countertops, floor coverings and much more. At the beginning of 2019, the company invested in a Proliner Stone Package for the creation of digital templates and a digital workflow.
Recently, the company worked on a project for Haus zur Goldenen Waage in Frankfurt am Main. This medieval house dates back to 1619 and was destroyed during the bombardments in 1944. Because of its high architectural and historical value the house is rebuild in 2014 and opened its doors as a café in 2018. Stone Company Kühn supplied the countertops for the café, from measurement to installment.
Christoph: “This was a very complex project cut from Emperador dark marble. The countertops had to be installed as a single piece following the shape of the wooden shelve structure. Therefore accurate measurements were a necessity to get perfect fitting countertops. Because of the complexity, this would have been impossible to achieve without the Proliner!”
