Project Pitch
Elizabeth Village and Resort - Africa Travel and Life: Elizabeth Village and Resort, founded and financed by a Liberian woman entrepreneur who has personally invested over $250,000 in land, development, and operations, stands as one of Liberia’s most acclaimed eco-luxury resorts. Located on a serene peninsula along the historic Benson River in Buchanan—just 50 minutes from Roberts International Airport and 2 hours away from the capital—the resort features 20 custom-designed chalets inspired by traditional Liberian villages, a full-service restaurant and bar, a signature Liberia-shaped pool, and scenic canoe tours. Since its opening in December 2017, Elizabeth Village has become one of Liberia’s top destinations for retreats, leisure, and corporate meetings, attracting both domestic and international guests. The business model combines revenue streams from room bookings, restaurant and bar services, group retreats, excursions, events, and day visits. With monthly revenues ranging between $6,000 and $20,000 and consistent high occupancy, the resort has proven profitable and sustainable. To meet growing demand, Elizabeth Village seeks a $1,200,000 investment to expand with 20 additional river top chalets, renovate the 20 structures, a larger conference and retreat facility for up to 500 guests, a strategic marketing communications system and operational cost for 2 years. Our vision is to establish Elizabeth Village as one of West Africa’s leading African-owned eco-luxury resorts celebrating Liberia’s art, culture and hospitality within five years. The resort is currently closed requiring funding to do works and begin operational.
