With increasing pressure to deliver more for less, councils have to find new ways to deliver services. Automation offers obvious benefits for transactional interactions but how can it be used in more complex circumstances? How do councils implement automation and ensure the safeguarding of the vulnerable? Can automation be used to help the less tech-savy? Can it help provide better experiences for a growing number of younger people whose expectations of digital services are significantly higher than other generations?
