LGC Summit 2020
Welcome to the LGC Summit 2020 – a season of virtual discussions offering insight and inspiration on the biggest issues facing local government.
In these unprecedented times we have strived to bring you all the in-depth discussion of the usual physical LGC summit but in a virtual format, offering you an ability to participate freely in debate in a Chatham House format.
We know you’re exceptionally busy so our sessions are short and concentrated – and packed full with the contributions of some of the highest profile opinion formers from within and around our sector.
Of course, the response to Covid-19 and the pandemic’s impact on councils, their staff, their finances and their local economies will dominate our discussions. However, we also look to the future and discuss how your leadership can help bring about a fairer society and how local government needs to adapt in the decade ahead.
Each session will start with contributions from our speakers, which will later be available on demand on our digital platform. However, we will then stop the recording to allow open debate to flourish. We urge you to respect the Chatham House nature of the Q&A element of the virtual event by not passing on attributed contributions of speakers and other participants.
We’re hugely grateful for the support of our sponsors: Capita, Local Partnerships and the Local Government Information Unit and Safe as Houses Care, as well as our speakers and every other participant.
We hope you enjoy the event!
