LGC Pension Insight Symposium 2022

A WELCOME LETTER FROM LGC EDITOR, SARAH CALKIN

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the in-person LGC Pension Insight Symposium 2022. It is the first in person event in Stratford-upon-Avon since 2019. It is also my first LGC Investment event since taking over as LGC editor last month, do please come and say hello over the next few days!

As was the case three years ago, we meet against a backdrop of political instability at home as the Conservative party chooses a new prime minister, but while Brexit has not disappeared as an issue, inflation, the global economy and war in Europe provide the wider context for this week’s event.

These are among the topics that are sure to be keenly discussed as the symposium once again offers an invaluable opportunity for expert practitioners from LGPS pools and funds to connect with the asset management community.

Please do make the most of this opportunity to meet colleagues old and new. Unfortunately our deputy editor and LGPS expert Martin George, who many of you will know well, has been struck down by covid so is not able to join us. We wish him a speedy recovery.
