Pre-Convening Sessions and Welcome Reception
Monday, April 24, 3-9 p.m. CT
- Optional pre-convening sessions on Inclusive Innovation and Computational Thinking Pathways led by Digital Promise
- Welcome reception at The Southern Kitchen and Bar
Convening Day 1
Tuesday, April 25, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. CT
- Welcome and introductory panel led by Dr. Suzanne Lacey and Talladega County Schools educators and students
- Challenge Map session on the top challenges facing League districts
- Digital Promise and partner-led breakout sessions on topics related to the convening themes of Leadership and School Culture and Climate, Student Learning, Engagement, and Pathways, and Digital Transformation and Equity
- Evening reception and dinner at The Florentine
Convening Day 2
Wednesday, April 26, 6:30 a.m.-7 p.m. CT
- School visits to various Talladega County Schools
- Evening reception at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum
Convening Day 3
Thursday, April 27, 7-11:30 a.m. CT
- Closing session and reflections
- Student leader presentations on topics around educational equity
- Job alike meet-ups for superintendents and district leaders
- Optional community activities, including a Civil Rights District Guided Tour and a visit to the Birmingham Civil Rights District Museum (registration required)
