Information
Despite their common origin, both cutaneous and uveal melanoma display differences in their genetic alterations. The difference in response to immune checkpoint blockade (ICB) by cutaneous melanoma (CM) and uveal melanoma (UM) patients is striking. Although impressive response rates were seen in cutaneous melanoma, no significant response rate was achieved in uveal melanoma. Here, we use the GeoMx Digital Spatial profiler to understand the profound differences in the immune environment between CM and UM to deepen the understanding of the underlying mechanism in differential response upon ICB therapy.
