Information
Quantum computing is quickly transitioning from experimental curiosity to impactful technology, promising transformative capabilities across simulation, optimization, and AI. As quantum hardware matures, High-Performance Computing (HPC) centers are uniquely positioned to accelerate this transition, bridging the gap between classical and quantum computation. But what does it mean for an HPC center to become “quantum-ready”?
In this talk, we will share insights from QuEra’s nearly three years of experience operating a quantum computer within a cloud environment as well as recent on-premises deployments. We will highlight key considerations about scalability, system integration, and performance optimization. We will discuss the importance of quantum error correction (QEC) and outline QuEra’s unique algorithm co-design approach, which actively engages HPC partners to align hardware development with practical HPC workloads and needs. Attendees will leave equipped with strategic considerations and practical steps to effectively prepare their HPC infrastructure for the quantum computing era.
