: Like application software, messaging software also faces tradeoffs with respect to performance, scalability, and portability. This presentation will compare and contrast these tradeoffs as applied to messaging software as opposed to application software. These considerations affected the design of Omni-Path Express (OPX); some examples will be discussed and their implications for applications and middleware will be presented.
