This is a video panel discussion comprised of four industry luminaries examining future trends in HPC -- where the industry and the technology will be at the end of the decade.

Our panel: Rick Stevens, Associate Laboratory Director and Argonne Distinguished Fellow at Argonne National Lab Michael Resch, Director of the High-Performance Computing Center, Stuttgart Jeff Vetter, Section Head - Advanced Computing Systems Research, Oak Ridge National Lab And as co-moderator (and @HPCpodcast co-host0 Shahin Khan, Founding Partner and Analyst at the OrionX.net technology consulting firm.

We can all agree that supercomputing fills an increasing role in everyday life, particularly as HPC and AI become conjoined, and we can expect this trend only to grow. Our panelists offer a variety of prognostications on the presence of HPC-AI in our work and personal lives by 2030, looking into such areas as the metaverse, autonomous vehicles, the workplace, manufacturing, financial services, healthcare, the environment and entertainment. We also look at upcoming pivotal technology advancements that will have major impact on the future of HPC.

We also look at potentially damaging impacts of HPC in 2030, the problems of supercomputing-class technology in the hands of cybercriminals, identity thieves and manipulators of pubic perception through the use of deep fake AI.

We hope you enjoy what we think is a lively, provocative and insightful exchange of ideas.
