Who we are…
For over 150 years, as the world’s largest food and beverage company, we have been driven by a simple aim: unlocking the power of food to enhance quality of life for everyone, today and for generations to come. We have more than 2,000 brands and our portfolio covers products and services for all stages of life, helping people care for themselves and their families.
Where we’re headed…
We are committed to reaching net zero emissions throughout the company’s activities by 2050 at the latest. In December 2020, we launch our detailed net-zero roadmap, setting out our path toward absolute emissions reductions of 20% by 2025 and 50% by 2030.
Why we are here…
Here at COP26, we want to encourage and support policymakers and other stakeholders in striving for even greater ambition on climate, by:
- Sharing our experiences in areas like regenerative agriculture, where we’re working to preserve water resources, empower farmers, innovate plant-based product options and improve soil health;
- Listening and engaging with civil society, communities and policymakers to better understand their expectations of us in addressing climate change;
- Making new connections and exploring ways of accelerating progress
Who we’ve brought: Nespresso…
We’re here at COP26 with one of our most iconic brands: Nespresso. Find us at C001 booth.
Nespresso is a pioneer for high-quality portioned coffee and is dedicated to furthering sustainable practices within their supply chain by working with over 120,000 farmers in 15 countries through the AAA Sustainable Quality™ Program. This effort is key to Nespresso’s ambitious goal:to make every cup of Nespresso coffee carbon neutral by 2022. Already over the last ten years, we have reduced the carbon footprint of every cup of Nespresso coffee by 24%.
