Stream 2 - Special Session - Mercury in the Southern Hemisphere: Mercury research in Africa

The 90 min session forms part of the Southern Hemisphere Special Session Series and will focus solely on mercury research on the African continent. The session will start with a regional overview presentation taking into account the MIA and NAP meta data that has become available to the Mercury Partnership, from the country reporting followed by 5-7min short thought starter presentations on key areas the African continent needs address to move forward in implementing the Minamata Convention. The focus of the presentations will be on ASGM, Dental & Cosmetics, Science Policy Interface and Monitoring. The following speakers will present during the session:
