From Policy To Place: Innovation And Economic Growth in Devolved Systems
The NHS 10-Year Health Plan and the Life Sciences Sector Plan both place innovation at the centre of improving health outcomes and driving local economic growth. Under devolution, mayoral and combined authorities are expected to translate this national ambition into place-based delivery. Across the North of England, strong partnerships are already leading this agenda, demonstrating how health innovation can be mobilised to support both economic growth and improved outcomes. Drawing on practical examples from Manchester, Yorkshire and Liverpool City Region, this roundtable will examine how health innovation networks provide the convening infrastructure that enables the NHS, industry and devolved leadership to work together to deliver on these plans in practice.
