Sustainability in Beauty: Green Chemistry Innovations in Cosmetics & Personal Care

Friday, June 12,2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM. (America/New_York)

The cosmetics and personal care industry faces growing pressure to reduce environmental impact while meeting consumer demand for safe, effective, and ethically sourced products. This session will explore how green and sustainable chemistry are transforming formulation, packaging, and supply chains in the beauty sector. Topics will include bio-based and biodegradable ingredients, low-energy manufacturing processes, and strategies for eliminating harmful chemicals without compromising performance. Industry leaders, academic researchers, and sustainability advocates will share case studies and emerging technologies that advance circularity and transparency in cosmetic chemistry. Interactive discussions will address regulatory trends, consumer expectations, and opportunities for cross-sector collaboration. Participants will leave with actionable insights for designing products that are not only beautiful but also sustainable and socially responsible.
