GOAL and Cadre de Liaison Inter-Organisations (CLIO)
Information
Since 2010, the Irish humanitarian aid agency GOAL has been at the forefront of humanitarian and development efforts in Haiti. What started as a response to a natural disaster culminated in a strong multi-crisis resilience programming, spanning over almost 15 years across both natural and man-made crises. Supported by a network of about 50 Community Based Organisations (CBOs) in the West Department in Haiti, GOAL has been able to maintain humanitarian access in particularly vulnerable areas controlled by armed groups (including in Port-au-Prince).
The LAC (Latin American Caribbean) region’s – and particularly the country’s – security context makes humanitarian intervention in Haiti ever-more important. This is why GOAL Haiti remains committed to providing lifesaving assistance and strengthening community resilience every day.
