Restoring hope, empowering lives: European Union - United Nations collaboration in crises and complex settings
We live in a time of multiple crises - from wars and conflicts to climate change. These cause deaths and leave deep scars on communities, with women and girls disproportionately affected, reversing development gains and increasing inequalities.
Working with people living in conflict and fragile contexts, the EU and the UN collaborate to contribute to more peaceful and prosperous societies.
The photo exhibition showcases the impact of this cooperation. These photos highlight the work of various UN Agencies, alongside the EU and partners in crises and complex settings – from life-saving support and restoring basic services and infrastructure to building resilience and livelihoods of those most left behind.
