World Vision EU Representation
Information
The child-led art exhibition "The School I Dream Of", organised by World Vision EU Representation, features 8 drawings from children developed during World Vision’s Summer Camps in the West Bank. Through guided workshops in these Summer Camps, children reflected on their experiences of the past school year and developed artwork showing what their ideal school would look like.
This initiative aims to create a space for Palestinian children in the West Bank to share their experiences, concerns and aspirations, ensuring their voices reach key EU stakeholders. By showcasing their artwork, the exhibition highlights some of the main severe disruptions in education, including the surge in violence and the restrictions of movement. Each artwork includes an explanatory quote from the child who developed it.
The ongoing crisis in the occupied Palestinian territory has severely impacted children, with thousands of grave violations against children being reported since October 2023. In the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, 806,000 children have had further limited access to education because of the current crisis.
