The College of American Pathologists, founded in 1947, is is the world's largest organization for quality management in medical laboratories. Over 18.000 members worldwide, and more than 20.000 laboratories participating in our proficiency testing and accreditation programs, benefit from the combined expertise of its members. For the CAP, laboratory quality means patient safety - be it in a routine or specialized diagnostic setting, clinical trials, or research environment.
Our involvement in quality management of clinical trials encompasses laboratory quality assessment, data integrity, use of AI and many more aspects. We are a proud partner of pharmaceutical and biotech companies sponsoring clinical trials.
