Active in Australia for 20 years, ACCIONA Energía currently has over 2.4 GW of renewable energy capacity operational and under construction in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. This includes the 1 GW MacIntyre Wind Farm Precinct in Queensland that is currently under construction, a project that alone will produce enough clean energy to power 700,000 homes.

Community engagement is a key part of our business model, and we are committed to building long-term relationships and sharing the benefits of our projects with the communities in which we operate in. Since commencing operations in Australia, we have invested almost $4 million into the communities where our projects are located.

ACCIONA Energía develops, constructs, owns and operates projects for their full life cycle, working with some of our project stakeholders for 30+ years. We have an integrated model, with internal design and engineering capacity, a majority stake in Nordex, a wind turbine manufacturer, and a construction entity operating in Australia.
