Information
Registration, Insurance, and Cancellation:
REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE HERE.
All those attending sessions, including speakers and moderators, are required to register for the meeting. In addition, participants must wear their name badges during all meeting sessions and events to identify themselves as registered participants. During meetings, attendees not displaying a valid name badge may be asked to provide proof of registration. If you are asked to provide proof of registration and are unable to do so, you will be required to register immediately or be removed from the meeting.
Because so much of the value of the conference consists of the in-person conversations and discussions, our conference will be held entirely in-person; teleconferencing will not be an option. We do know, though, that travel may be an uncertainty for some, and we realize, too, that illness or other urgent needs may make travel impossible, so this year we are again offering an add-on insurance option with your registration, if registration is purchased during the "early" and "regular" registration windows; insurance is not an option during the "late" window. When selecting your registration ticket, please notice that you have one of two options in your relevant tier: 1.) registration or 2.) registration + insurance.
Early Registration (July 25 - August 31):
- PPE Society Local Chapter Members (must be undergraduate students): $80
- Students: $115
- Students + Insurance: $130
- Non-Tenure-Track: $155
- Non-Tenure-Track + Insurance: $175
- Tenure-Track/Tenured/Emeritus/Professional: $250
- Tenure-Track/Tenured/Emeritus/Professional + Insurance: $280
Regular Registration (September 1 - 30):
- PPE Society Local Chapter Members (must be undergraduate students): $100
- Students: $150
- Students + Insurance: $168
- Non-Tenure-Track: $190
- Non-Tenure-Track + Insurance: $215
- Tenure-Track/Tenured/Emeritus/Professional: $300
- Tenure-Track/Tenured/Emeritus/Professional + Insurance: $340
Late Registration (October 1 - conference):
- PPE Society Local Chapter Members (must be undergraduate students): $125
- Students: $200
- Non-Tenure-Track: $300
- Tenure-Track/Tenured/Emeritus/Professional: $400
If you purchased registration cancellation insurance during checkout, and you need to cancel your attendance, you are entitled to a full refund if you email us your cancellation no later than one month before the conference starts, October 14. Insurance does not guarantee a refund after October 14. If you must cancel, please let us know by then. We need a full month to adjust our program schedule when speakers cancel, as we search for replacements, re-organize sessions, and update our materials.
If you do not purchase insurance, tickets are non-refundable in all cases.
Lodging:
The room block for this event is now closed.
Conference Sponsorships:
All proceeds from sponsorship purchases will go toward our travel fund for those scholars who need financial assistance to attend, as well as conference expenses. Please consider sponsoring our conference HERE, and don't hesitate to reach out with questions!
- Silver - Basic Sponsorship: Includes a detailed Swapcard profile; logo placement in Swapcard app/digital program; special thanks in conference communications and on website. $625.
- Gold - Includes basic silver sponsorship offerings and an assigned table at the conference venue. $1250.
- Platinum - Includes basic silver sponsorship offerings and priority exhibitor table location in the conference space, close to the registration table (or wherever you prefer). $2500.
Note: Conference sponsorship does not cover standard conference attendee registration. If you are representing your department as a sponsor and plan to attend the conference, you will need to register yourself separately as an attendee.
Fees:
To cover increased venue A/V fees and transaction fees associated with Swapcard's platform use and their processing program (Stripe), we have increased registration pricing for this year's meeting.
Remote Presentations?
Videoconferencing and/or other virtual presentations are not available.
Regarding teleconferencing and virtual presentation, the PPE Society is unable to provide any sort of video streaming for its sessions. Video streaming requires a technical setup and a technical support person provided through the hotel (rather than the PPE Society itself) at costs that are high and unsustainable for the organization. PPE Society meetings are possible only because participants stay in-person at the venue hotel and register for the meeting. If we permit video streaming, the costs plus the decrease in attendance would make it impossible for the PPE Society to continue to hold its annual meeting in-person at all. The PPE Society cannot offer video streaming for these reasons, and so we ask that you attend in-person if you are on the program, or find someone who can attend in your place if you cannot be present.
