Ceria Corp: Achieving Global Milestones Through the Acceleration of Sustainable Green Nickel Downstreaming
Ceria Corp is a fully Indonesian-owned nickel mining and processing company operating in a 6,785-hectare Mining Business License (IUP) area in Wolo, Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi. Backed by more than 25 years of experienced and qualified team, Ceria is committed to responsible and sustainable mining practices while producing high-quality, low-carbon nickel products. Ceria holds abundant nickel and cobalt resources essential for the global energy transition, supported by strong HSE and ESG commitments, as well as Renewable Energy Certificates (REC) from PLN, recognized internationally through APX TIGRs certification.
On April 27, 2025, Ceria’s RKEF Line I Smelter officially produced its first ferronickel from the 72 MVA RKEF Line I. The facility is capable of producing up to 63,200 tons of ferronickel annually, equivalent to around 13,900 tons of nickel metal with a nickel grade above 22%. The smelter also marked its first export in early July 2025 and has since conducted regular exports to support global demand. As part of Indonesia’s National Strategic Project (PSN) and National Vital Object (Obvitnas), the facility strengthens Indonesia’s downstream nickel industry and energy transition agenda.
Beyond industrial growth, Ceria continues to prioritize local empowerment through workforce development and community programs in education, health, economic, environment, sociocultural, and infrastructure. In the long term, Ceria aims to develop an integrated battery industry park to support Indonesia’s clean energy transition.
